| Hostel Info | Separate ladies and mens hostels with all amenities are provided to make the stay of students as comfortable as possible and the hostels are run on no-profit-no-loss basis. There is a Chief Warden and separate Wardens and a Hostel Manager for both the Ladies and Mens to manage the entire hostel activities.
The Ladies hostel has 66 triple rooms and 3 staff rooms, dining hall, kitchen, TV room, reading room/library and a visitors parlor,is 100mts from the college.
The Mens hostel has 28 triple rooms and 14 double rooms, dining hall, kitchen, TV room, reading room/library and a visitors parlor, is 2 furlongs from the college.There are facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Indoor games such as carrom and chess and outdoor games like shuttle badminton court are provided. Strict discipline is maintained in the hostel. Good quality and calorie balanced food is served in the hostel. Menu of all Indian types (both South Indian and North Indian) and Chinese preparations are served to the inmates.
KSHEMA along with good education facilities has reasonable sports facilities. In KSHEMA, the Physical Education Department has playing courts for badminton (outdoors), volleyball and basketball. Indoor games include table tennis, chess and carrom. The student, faculty and other non-teaching staff make use of the sports facilities provided by the college. |

| More Info | Nitte Education Trust, founded in the year 1979 by late Justice K S Hegde, is a registered Tulu linguistic minority charitable trust. The Trust is inspired by the values of freedom of expression, respect for fundamental rights and probity and integrity, embodied by Justice Hegde. The Medical Academy is named after Late Justice K S Hegde.
K S Hegde Medical Academy is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Bangalore.
A full fledged 500 bed Hospital, called the Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital, is attached to the college and the building space is available for future expansion and upgradation upto 700 beds.
The hospital has state-of-the-art facilities in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Departments of Radiology and Anaesthesiology.
The outpatient block of the hospital also houses 8 operation theaters and an intensive care unit that are centrally air-conditioned .
Keeping pace with changes in health sciences and technology, facilities in super speciality areas like Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Urology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, Gastroenterology and Oncology are a part of the health-care programme of the Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital and the K S Hegde Medical Academy.
K S Hegde Medical Academy has also signed an agreement of co-operation with the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, U.S.A. for co-operation in research in diseases like malaria and tuberculosis and is in the process of establishing a state-of-the-art Regional Research Centre for Communicable Diseases at Deralakatte.
